10 Ways to Build Search Engine Optimization

Organic Search results appear in the non-advertising areas of the search engine results page. This is the equivalent of FREE advertising, so search engine optimization (SEO) is a very important strategy for creating a successful web site. So, it is imperative that you create an effective SEO strategy to help your web site bring you new customers. Here are 10 ways to improve your search engine optimization strategy.
1. Keywords: Develop unique keywords and relevant titles for each of your web site pages and each article or blog you publish.
2. Content: The depth of research and development applied to your content strategy will be directly proportional to the quality and quantity of traffic you receive in organic search. "Content" includes the written word, applications, widgets, tools and other digital assets.
3. Copy writing: Adding one word or phrase in the right place can increase visibility for a particular keyword. Be careful in your approach, and consider the human element, no matter how tempting it is to over-tweak.
4. Permanent Links: Start the process of cataloging multiple redirects and campaign URL's and set up permanent redirects to make it easier for the engines to find the "real" URL.
5. Interlinking: Link to others web sites, have others link to yours. Writing useful articles that link back to your web site and getting others to use the articles on their home pages is one of the best strategies for improving your rankings in the search engines.
6. Feed submission: Determine which feeds are most relevant to your business (products, maps, etc.) and take steps to provide data to the engines. With placements like Google Maps, a feed could be a quick ticket to a No. 1, No. 2, or No. 3 natural ranking.
7. Title and Description: Create a succinct title and description, which along with your Keywords, is an important part of your meta strategy for SEO.
8. Linking Architecture: Search engines need a unique URL for each page to actually index each page separately. Using parameters like /ShowArticle.cfm?article_id=14 doesn't work. You could have a million articles linked like this, but the search engines wouldn't know it. But search engines do like /ShowArticle.cfm/14 - if your information architect designs your system in this way, you can be assured that every article or web page will be reviewed by the search engines - making sure each has a different title, keyword list and description will guarantee that the search engines actually index the articles and pages. This is the best strategy for getting search engines to crawl your site and index content.
9. Clean up broken links: Find and remove permanently broken internal links or set up properly configured 404 error page to improve crawling performance that lets engines know that the old link is history.
10. Make your pages smaller by removing common JavaScript and CSS code to external files. The files are then cached by the browser and your page loads quicker and the search engines can crawl your pages quicker and easier.
These are only a few of the many things you can do to help your SEO. They are free and if you can coordinate all of these things into your web site, they are also very effective.
Bonus Information!
For coders, these are some of the areas that must be taken into consideration:
*Meta Tags - though your title, keywords and description in your site's meta-tags may have been effective when you launched your site, this can change. Your meta-tags must be tested regularly - it is important to test and re-test your meta data.
*Content - like meta tags, your site content must be updated regularly and must reflect the meta data you are using. When it comes to search engine indexing, the continuity of your meta data and content are checked. Event the order in which your keywords are set and HTML like bold text can make your information easier for the search engine spiders to crawl.
*Links - building links on your site allows you to become more friendly on-line. By making friends virtually, you are increasing your popularity and reputation on-line. This interlinking is an effective strategy to promote your site - the more relevant your links are, the more powerful your web site becomes.
For marketers, this is the most powerful way to build traffic.
*In-Bound Links - Article marketing is one of the key ways to build in-bound links. Every site that posts one of your articles becomes a billboard pointing back to your web site. Imagine having an article on 1,000 web sites - that's 1,000 billboards pointing to your web site. Now imaging 100 articles on 1,000 web site pointing back to your web site - that is 100,000 billboards that make your site one of the highest ranked sites on the Internet.
When you implement these Strategies, you'll find two long-term benefits for your website:
1) This will boost your web site search engine rankings.
2) This will attract quality traffic to your site.

Big Chest

When we think about getting big pecs, it seems like the only exercise to be able to maximize chest muscle is the bench press. The illusion here is that bench pressing is the best way to build chest muscle, and that other exercises are obsolete. If you been taught to think this way, I have much pity for you. Though I will admit, bench press is "one" of the best exercises, it certainly isn't the only exercise to build chest muscle.
With that said, the bench press isn't absolutely necessary for shirt popping pecs as we call them. An alternate chest builder aside from using weights are push-ups. Simple as the exercise is, push-ups is one of the best exercises you can do for upper body strength and muscle size. During the push-up, various muscles are working simultaneously such as the triceps, the deltoids, the biceps, forearm muscle, back, your entire core region and last but not least your chest.
If you shrug off push-ups like they're nothing, try doing them with a weighted vest. A higher load will result in a greater challenge during each repetition. The movement will work your core, upper body muscles, and the heavier load will push your muscle fibers to tear and rebuild themselves for a more massive chest.
Another way of challenging yourself is doing push-ups in a more explosive manner, so explosive that your hands pop off the floor. Within each rep, challenge yourself to clap during midair and count all at the same time. Other than building chest muscle, this will help boost endurance, power, strength, and muscle size all in one simple exercise.
If you're experienced and thoroughly conditioned doing regular push-ups, you can keep challenging yourself to do other forms of push-ups. Such as elevating your feet onto a platform such as a chair. The decline will help hit the chest muscles more directly and you'll be concentrating a heavier load on your upper body because the angle of your body weight.

How to Build Your Own Computer - What Do You Need?

Have you ever thought of building your own computer? If you were ever frustrated with all the prepackaged "software" that comes with a pre-built computer, or ever had to spend hundreds of dollars to get your desktop serviced, you might want to consider building your own computer.
Listed are some reason you might want to build your own computer:
1. A clean new operating system (no prepackaged software).
2. A better understanding of your computer, and computers in general.
3. You can build a machine specific to your needs.
4. If your machine ever becomes obsolete, you can buy new parts instead of a completely new computer.
5. You can save money!
First of all, you need to determine what kind of computer you need. Do you need a small, quiet computer to write reports and spreadsheets? Do you need a powerful video editing/gaming machine? Once you have made that decision, you can move on to picking the parts.
The Motherboard
The motherboard is the most essential component in a computer. Almost everything, including the CPU, RAM, hard drives, disk drives, and optical drives are plugged into the motherboard. I would recommend buying at least a $50 - $100 motherboard. Often, you can find motherboard and CPU combos in this range, which are great for inexpensive home/office computers. Intel Dual Core is perfect for multitasking programs, and is the lowest I would settle for any machine. However, if you want a more powerful machine, you might want to spend a little more on the motherboard and CPU, which leads me to...
The CPU
The CPU, or central processing unit is an older term for processor. The CPU contains the logic cicuitry that performs the instructions of computer programs. Since you are picking your CPU, I will assume you are building a high-end machine, as a motherboard and CPU combo would be fine for anything else. I could settle for Dual Core, but if you want raw processing power, Quad Core is the way to go. I reccomend Intel or AMD, but there are some other manufacturers out there. The most important thing to remember is to make sure it is the right brand and pin configuration to fit you motherboard!
Other Parts
RAM - 2 gigs, at the very least. 4 gigs for a more powerful machine. Make sure it has the correct pin configuration.
Power Supply - If the computer case does not come with a power supply, you need to pick one. Make sure it matches with your motherboard. 300 watts is enough for most machines, but you might want to consider something bigger if you want a gaming rig.
Video Card - 1 gig is enough for most machines, but if you want to edit videos or play games, go for a few gigs. Some motherboards support more than one video card, but at the time of this article, some programs don't. Good brands to pick from are nVidia and ATI.
Optical Drive - If you want a home/office computer, pick a cheap one. If you want to burn CDs and DVDs, make sure it can handle it. To tell the truth, these aren't used much anymore. Good read/write speed is optional, but recommended.
Hard Drive - Serial ATA drives are recommended. Around 100 gigs of space, depending on your needs. For a gaming/video editing computer, you can get multiple drives.
Operating System - Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Linux. Windows XP is recommended for the average user, as Windows Vista is not very user-friendly, and Linux is more technical. However, Linux is free, and if you are interested, there are many sites to help you install Linux. Linus isn't all that hard to install.
Buying The Parts
Online is usually the cheapest, and has the widest selection, but any national chain or local retailer will do.
Building The Computer
Before you start to build your computer, one thing you need to know about is static electricity. If you shock any of the sensitive hardware, it will be useless. Do yourself a favor and buy a grounding bracelet and ground yourself. If not, you run the risk of damaging your components and buying a new one.
Since every set of part will be unique (which is the point), the instructions will differ from person to person. But below is a general outline of what you should do.
Find the motherboard and microprocessor. Align the marked corners and drop the microprocessor into the socket. No force is necessary. Attach in place.
Install the heat sink. The CPU box will have instructions, and you should follow them carefully.
To install the RAM, look for a slot marked "one" and push the module in. It should lock in place.
Now you need to install the motherboard into the case. The case comes with a hole cut in for the motherboard, so all you need to do is line it up, and screw it in.
The case should have a few more slots. These slots are where the hard drive(s) and optical drive go. Slide in the drives, screw them in place, and then attach them to the motherboard. It should be fairly obvious where to plug them in.
If you have a video card, you should install it now. The manual has more detailed instructions for each different card.
Now close up the case, and attach the monitor, keyboard, speakers, and mouse.
Turn it on! You should hear the fans and hard disks going, lights lighting up, and something on the monitor. Now all you have to do is install the operating system. Congratulations!
Build a Hydrogen Generator

Precautionary Measures
The hydrogen generator is a device used to incorporate flammable gases that can be broken down from water to be used as water fuel for cars. Oxyhydrogen is the gas that is made by such device. This gas is considered to be highly explosive. Unlike pure hydrogen, which is more stable and can be stored safely, oxyhydrogen is highly flammable and should never be stored because it can easily ignite. It is therefore important to make this device in a safe house or garage far from places with high density of people and housing. It is equally important to wear protective gear and have easy access to fire retardants or extinguishers.
The Building Process
The HHO generator should be made from a transparent PVC pipe measuring 1.5 inches in diameter. The clear pipe should be covered on top and on the bottom with cylindrical thread adapters and screw-on PVC caps with a measurement of 1.25 inches in diameter. The cap on the bottom should have two stainless steel bolts attached to it, secured with washers and nuts. On the top end, the cap must have a "barb fitting" that would permit the insertion of rubber surgical tubing.
The gas, in theory, would flow to a second container which should be filled with water and have an open top. The container can be a 2-liter glass flask. A piece of tubing made of copper is connected to the surgical tubing of the first container. The copper end is bent to an angle that would fit the second vessel, dipping it below water level to prevent ignition in an experimental stage. The HHO generator should be filled halfway with a mixture of potassium hydroxide and an equal amount of water. The potassium hydroxide serves as an electrolyte, making it possible for the electric current to flow in water continuously. At the bottom end of the device attach two 6-inch insulated copper wires to each of the bolts. Then connect the wires to a 12-volt DC battery charger of the automobile or a solar panel with a 40+ watts capacity.
How the Process Works
When the power source is turned on, the mixture in the HHO generator will start to make bubbles. This is an indication that water molecules are starting to break into hydrogen and oxygen gases. Then this mixture will continuously make bubbles creating more gases. These gases would flow up towards the barb tubing and down to the copper fitting of the second container. When the second container starts to make bubbles it is an indication that the gases have reached the vessel. The gases will rise from the second container like a mist. It is important to keep the second container away from sparks because such gases are highly flammable.
The second container should be fitted with a tight cover. On the cover, a hole should be drilled that would fit another copper tubing. Both the hydrogen generator and the other container should be placed in the car's engine compartment in a manner that it is fixed and stable. The fittings that hold both containers should be able to hold through the rigors of travel. The wirings on the primary container should be connected to the terminals of the car battery. The copper tubing from the HHO generator should be carefully inserted to the engine's carburetor.
Start the engine, slowly depressing on the accelerator. If bubbles start to form on the hydrogen device then a successful connection has been made, and you have a water powered car. It is also important to check for leaks in both containers so as not to have dangerous spills on the engine compartment.

Electric Car

With the current economy slowdown, many car owners are searching for ways to reduce their fuel expenses. People are exploring all sort of solutions from hydrogen gas generator to bio diesel fuel. One of the best solutions to cut your gas bill completely is by using a pure electric vehicle (EV). EV does not require any fossil fuel and costs less to maintain. Unfortunately, a brand new electric car from the manufacturer is still very expensive. Many people simply could not afford it. As an alternative, you can build your own electric car by converting a conventional gasoline driven automobile to EV via a Do It Yourself (DIY) approach from home.
The idea of a homemade electric car is very simple. What you need to do is remove the internal combustion engine (ICE) and replaces it with a DC electric motor. When the engine is jacked out, all its connecting system such as gas tank, fuel distribution lines, radiator and fuel pump have no more function therefore to be taken out as well. To move the EV forward, the motor is connected to the existing transmission unit by using a steel metal adapter plate.
What kind of electric motor should you use? Any DC motor with a 90 horsepower and more will be suitable for a DIY electric car conversion. To power the motor, you will need to use lead acid batteries. A normal sedan electric vehicle will require 10 to 15 units of battery. On a full charge, the EV will have enough power to cover approximately 150 miles before you have to recharge again. To reduce your EV conversion project costs, you can always use reconditioned battery from electric golf carts.
Are high gasoline prices burning a hole in you pocket? Why not consider using an Electric Car. Experience the cost saving benefits of an electric vehicle by exploring DIY Electric Car Conversion Guides. Better Mouse Trap

Probably you've heard the saying if you build a better mouse trap, the world will beat a path to your door. I guess many people took that seriously as nowadays there are thousands of mouse traps. One of the most commonly used traps is that shown in the children's cartoons in the last 50 years. Not only is it the most effective mouse trap but it also is very simple. It consists of a piece of wood with a heavy spring device which slams down the mouse if it tries to get the food put in it.
As we are living in the high tech 21st century, there are many people working on a better mouse trap. They want to create something not that simple. There is one great problem with any mouse trap - this is how to get the mouse into the trap. Cheese is considered to be the best bait. Another food that mice love is peanut butter. If not using the first two, then try with rice and some fish.
Having set up the bait, the mouse gets into the simple spring mouse trap and gets killed the same time. End of story. Of course, there are many people who are not willing to kill these friendly, but annoying mice. They can use a mouse trap designed as a mouse jail instead of the common spring mouse trap. When the mouse gets trapped, it doesn't get killed but it cannot escape either. When using such mouse trap mazes you have to take care of the mouse once it's caught. Some of these mouse tunnels are made of clear plastic, so they are see-through and you can watch what your mouse is doing in the trap. Once I came across a mouse trap that could hold up to 30 mice! Amazing, isn’t it!
I'm sorry that the directions offered don’t say what to do after you've caught the mouse in the trap. Should you let it go in the open? There is no doubt that you don't want to release it as you'll have to catch it again. There are some modern models of mouse traps that involve the use of electricity. Some of them give the mouse a lethal shock while others use batteries to automatically close the door after the mouse goes into the trap.
I know one more type of mouse trap.
I like that one a lot because it has many advantages. It is simple, cheap and highly effective. The only disadvantage of this model is that it is a bit dirty. All you have to do is purchase a few sheets of fly catcher. Before going to bed put one or two of these sticky sheets of paper somewhere in your kitchen. And don't forget to leave some bait in the middle of the sheet. You can be sure that the mouse will fall into your trap and will stick. Then when you find it the next morning, simply fold the flypaper and throw it away.
